22 Pathfinders, with the cooperation of the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers, participated in a trail clean-up at the Thomaston Dam. Certified Pathfinder chain saw operators cut and cleared trail debris along the upper trail system from the parking lot to “Bridge Out”. There remains a lot of work to clear the remaining trails. Please note that The Thomaston Dam is still closed to all visitors including pedestrians.
The image to the right depicts the work completed in green and the work remaining in red. The Pathfinders hope to schedule two or three more work parties to get the trail in safe condition for all visitors. For more details, read the report posted on everytrail.com.
